Sikaran

Sikaran is the ancient Filipino Martial Arts of foot fighting. Utilizes 90% of their feet for fighting and the remaining 10% for hand strikes but only used for blocking. Sikaran is the game of rice farmers in town of Baras province/county of Rizal in the Philippines. Before, Sikaran is just a urban legend world that spread out in town of Baras in which people used in phrasing “Wag ka dyan sa likod ng kalabaw at baka ma-Sikaran ka”. Little the people from Baras know, that SIkaran is REAL and there are few veteran practitioners of this game. Francisco Torres aka Kumander Rumagit and Demetrio Ramos aka Tata Mitring are some of the few Sikaran practitioners that can prove that SIkaran DO exists and been played by their forefathers long before the Spainiards came to Philippines. That is before Baras became town. Sikaran is not only played in town of Baras but also the rice farmers in town of Morong which they called it PANINGGARA.
